Melissa E. Palmer received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology in 1994 from the University of Houston, her Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center in 1997, where she was a member of the Order of the Barons and Phi Delta Phi.
Melissa E. Palmer received a Dean’s Scholarship for Public Interest Work while at the University of Houston Law Center, finding the work most rewarding. Melissa E. Palmer is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Texas and has been practicing law in Texas since 1998. She is admitted to practice in all Texas State Courts as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Western Districts of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Melissa E. Palmer has spent the majority of her career on the defense side of the bar, representing major retailers, insurance companies and hospitals. She is a trained mediator and conducts mediations in the above areas as well as Family Law mediations, volunteering in Montgomery County.
Melissa E. Palmer concentrates her practice in civil litigation, including Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Medical Malpractice Litigation, Products Litigation, Insurance Litigation — bad faith, claims handling, Construction Defects, Construction Accidents, Business and Commercial Litigation, Consumer Litigation — DTPA, FDCPA, Nursing Home Litigation, Automobile and Trucking Accidents, Dangerous Premises, and Employment Litigation.
Melissa E. Palmer is a member of the Texas State Bar, the State Bar College, Houston Bar Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association and Houston Young Lawyers Association. Melissa E. Palmer also is a member of the Southwest Houston Chamber of Commerce as well as the Texas Women’s Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Houston Partnership. She is a long-time Houston resident and Texan.
